The Flamingo Writers Guild of Parma, Ohio

The Flamingos currently offer a few core services, many of which tend to target local writers:
  • The Literary Magazine "West Creek Journal" — It is currently accepting submissions for poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and essays. The submission period closes on July 31st, 2026.
  • The West Side Poetry Workshop — This meets every fourth Thursday at the Powers Blvd library in Parma, Ohio. We celebrated 11 years strong last month :)
  • Rusty McRustBeltFace Press (RMP) — We have an open reading period for new manuscripts, 40 pages or fewer, for fiction and poetry. We publish novellas and chapbooks, and publish 1-2 writers /year. We specialize in publishing new and emerging writers.
  • Events and Workshops -- We have them periodically, but not currently. Please check back.
  • Our Youtube Channel — Check out workshops and readings you may have missed. We update irregularly.
